YORK ST JOHN UNIVERSITY

OVERVIEW

York St John University is located in York, one of northern England's most beautiful cathedral cities, just minutes from the city centre. York is just two hours away from London by train.

York St John University was founded in the mid-19th century as a teacher-training college, but now offers a wide variety of academic subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The campus has teaching facilities for a wide range of degree subjects, as well as bar areas, refectory, shop, halls of residence, sports building, drama, music, dance and television studios, learning centre with 24-hour access, a health centre and the Students’ Union building.

As a relatively small university, we get to know our students well and work hard to help you realise your own potential. Treating you as an individual is at the heart of what we do here. Our students leave with a real feeling of not only succeeding academically, but also with a belief that they have grown as a person. Many of our graduates say that their time at York St John University really was a life-changing experience.
